About Ian Day Lifestyle Equipment

Ian Day Lifestyle Equipment opened for business in Alexandra in 1993.  

Previous to that Ian was involved with other Company’s in the sales and repair of Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki motorcycles from 1975 onwards in Central Otago and also spent a total of three years in the U.S.A. and over a 20 year period exporting motorcycles back to New Zealand for sale.
These trips gave Ian a wider insight into what the advanced U.S.A. rural lifestyle scene was like. and the equipment necessary to maintain and complement a nice property. 

The need for high quality and durable equipment in New Zealand’s growing rural lifestyle in the early 90’s prompted Ian to obtain the John Deere franchise for Ride On Mowers, Compact Tractors, Gators and ATVs.

Central Otago’s demanding, dry, rocky and newly subdivided lifestyle blocks can consume poor quality equipment with some haste. It is difficult for people to realise the many different grades and models within those grades that John Deere Manufacture and appreciate what a 172 year old company can offer not only in models but also in international parts and services back up.
